Deeptech venture · Validation phase

From Malagasy resources to qualified energy systems.

Kayphas is building a phased pathway connecting Madagascar’s strategic resources to international markets. We begin by validating materials and cells with technology and industrial partners before progressively localizing processing and production in Madagascar.

Partners, accelerator and CTO sought

Diversification has become an industrial imperative.

Kayphas is not attempting to replicate an entire value chain immediately. We are building a complementary, traceable and qualified pathway, step by step.

>90%

Concentrated graphite refining

According to the IEA, the top refiner accounts for more than 90% of global graphite supply.

Identify the best environment to de-risk the venture

Without geographic exclusivity, Kayphas is seeking an ecosystem able to bring together deeptech acceleration, scientific expertise, laboratories, suppliers, investors and industrial partners. Selection will be based on expertise, infrastructure access, intellectual-property protection, costs, financing and the ability to build verifiable partnerships.

Validate. Demonstrate. Industrialize.

Validate

Join an accelerator, incorporate, recruit the CTO, secure materials and laboratories, then produce the first laboratory cell.

Next · 2028–2030

Demonstrate

Develop application-specific prototypes, progressively qualify Malagasy inputs and turn discussions into industrial agreements and pilots.

Industrialize

Localize processing steps whose quality, economics and markets have been demonstrated, within distinct battery and solar lines.

Long-term vision

A measured cell, not a gigafactory promise.

The first validation programme focuses on integrating qualified materials. Credible external CSPG capability can accelerate the project; it does not replace Kayphas’ integration proof.

Architecture, formulation and interfaces remain subject to experimental confirmation—no product performance is claimed.

  1. 1

    Material

Qualified CSPG sourced from a supplier, with certificate of analysis and specifications.

  2. 2

    Integration

Formulation and interfaces for a reference solid-state cell combining a qualified cathode, a garnet-type ceramic electrolyte and qualified CSPG.

  3. 3

    Measurement

Independent characterization, cycling, safety and reproducibility.

  4. 4

    Decision

Select the initial application and processing steps to localize based on results.

One priority programme. One exploratory track.

The first proof and current resources are focused on the battery programme. If a solar programme is pursued later, its process perimeter will remain distinct; infrastructure will be shared only where safety, contamination control and economics allow.

Solid-state battery

Application-specific cells with a shared reference chemistry and tailored electrodes, formats, pressure and BMS.

Advanced photovoltaics

Over the medium and long term, Kayphas may explore tandem photovoltaic architectures and the qualification of materials from Malagasy value chains with specialized partners. No device, efficiency or industrialization timeline is claimed at this stage.

Straight answers.

What is the first result Kayphas intends to demonstrate?
A laboratory cell integrating a qualified cathode, a garnet-type ceramic solid electrolyte and qualified CSPG graphite. The objective is to measure interfaces, cycling, safety and reproducibility—not to announce commercial performance before testing. Exact material and process selections remain subject to technical validation.
Does Kayphas already produce CSPG or batteries?
No. Kayphas is in the validation phase. In the near term, CSPG may be sourced from a qualified supplier. Kayphas will first create value through integration, formulation, interfaces and cell qualification; localization of selected processing steps will be assessed later.
How will Kayphas select its validation ecosystem?
Madagascar is the intended anchor for industrial value creation. To de-risk the venture, Kayphas is seeking an ecosystem without geographic exclusivity, bringing together accelerators, scientific expertise, laboratories, suppliers, investors and industrial partners. Selection will be based on technical, economic, legal and operational criteria, as well as the partners’ ability to formalize their commitment.
Does the gigafactory already exist?
No. It is a long-term industrial vision, conditional on validation, supply and offtake agreements, permits, financing and feasibility studies.

Your expertise can turn the vision into a measurable result.

We are looking for an accelerator, a technical co-founder, laboratories, material suppliers and discovery customers.
